Black Friday is our biggest shopping event of the year - and we have a bunch of great tips so you're ready for action when it rolls around soon.

It started in 1950s Philadelphia, when police used the term to describe the chaos of post-Thanksgiving shopping and traffic. Retailers later flipped the meaning and now it marks the day businesses go 'into the black' with booming sales. In 2025, Black Friday is your opportunity to start Christmas shopping and stock up on the tech (you've been eyeing off all year) at bargain prices.
Black Friday Sale has something for everyone. And while we can't reveal the deals (yet), we can let you know that you'll find all the tech you love from the biggest and best names in the business, including Apple, Google, Samsung and Sprout. Expect to find:

If you choose the My Telstra app, be sure to sign in (or sign up) ahead of time to make sure your personal details are up to date, that you've chosen a payment method that suits you and you opt in to Black Friday messages so you don't miss a thing!
Depending on where you live and stock availability, it can take between 3 - 7 business days. We usually process your order within 24 hours after you buy online. You’ll receive an email when your order leaves our warehouse, which will include a link and reference number to track your delivery. For some items, you can track your order online.

If you prefer an in-store experience, we recommend finding out where your local Telstra store is before Black Friday Sale starts. If you're shopping for a smartphone, you can check on our website first to see if it's in stock at your local store.
Also, at many Telstra stores, you can secure a place in the queue, via the My Telstra app and get an idea of the wait time before you arrive. We’ll SMS when it's your turn and we'll even hold your spot.

You can pay now for your products in one payment - or pay later in interest-free repayments over 12 or 24 months, when you add them to a mobile or data plan. You can even add selected accessories to your bill and pay them off as you go. If you leave Telstra, simply pay out your device and any accessories you've added.
